I first crossed paths with Mike back in 2013 when he joined our family-owned art gallery as a picture framer. Admittedly, our initial encounters were far from love at first sight. Mike had been grappling with personal challenges, and let's just say that neither of us really hit it off with the other. However, as time went on, we began to unravel the layers of our personalities, and I discovered how much the two of us had in common.
In 2015, fate dealt Mike a blow when his chronic health condition landed him in the hospital again. There were moments when it seemed as though he wouldn't make it out alive. Witnessing his struggle firsthand, I offered my assistance, drawing upon my knowledge in nutrition, to help him regain his health. Grateful for the lifeline I extended, Mike embraced my support wholeheartedly. As we worked together to restore his well-being, our friendship grew stronger.
Simultaneously, Mike played an invaluable role in supporting me in building my own business. Over the course of the following year, our bond fortified, marking the foundation of a deep connection. Two years into dating, I decided to ask Mike to marry me, and we tied the knot at the courthouse. We were determined to focus our resources on our shared passion for travels and embracing new experiences rather than lavish wedding expenses.
Despite not being affluent, we diligently saved and continue to budget our finances, solely to infuse our lives with the richness of exploration. Adventures await us around every corner, reminding us that life is too short to be spent doing anything other than what we truly love.
And of course, we cannot forget our little bundle of joy, Kaiya, a precious four-year-old fur baby and miniature goldendoodle. Kaiya holds a special place in our hearts and accompanies us wherever we go. She is an incredible travel companion, spreading cheer in every new destination we venture to.
In essence, our journey together has taught us the value of pursuing our passions and treasuring the limited time we have in this world. Through the trials and triumphs we have faced, we have come to appreciate that a fulfilling life is not measured in wealth, but in the experiences we share and the love we cultivate.
about genelle
My name is Genelle and I am from Colorado. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to be immersed in the artistic world of my grandpa's family-owned art gallery and frame shop. From the age of 14 to my early twenties, I devoted my full-time efforts to this vibrant environment. The time spent there shaped not only my work ethic but also ignited my passion for creativity.
At 15, I made the bold decision to leave formal education behind in favor of pursuing my dream in fashion design school. However, my thirst for knowledge was insatiable, leading me to explore other fields such as nutrition. I earned my certification in nutrition and went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in Complimentary Medicine. My academic journey eventually culminated in a master's degree in public health and functional medicine. Beyond my academic pursuits, I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. In 2013, I took a leap of faith and founded my own clothing line. This venture allowed me to express my individuality and creativity while building a brand rooted in my personal vision.
While appreciating my past pursuits of art, fashion, and health, I find my heart yearning for nature and open spaces. The bustling energy of the city overwhelms me, and I thrive in the tranquility of natural surroundings. My true aspirations lie in traveling the globe and exploring as many different cultures and landscapes as possible. However, my ultimate goal is to find solace in a charming abode nestled on a sizeable plot of land, surrounded by lush greenery, adorned with a flourishing garden, and inhabited by a few canine companions, and perhaps a handful of other animals.
My journey through life has been anything but conventional, and it is this non-traditional path that beckons me. It is in the road less traveled where I uncover my true purpose, pushing boundaries and surpassing expectations.
About michael
As a member of a military family, I embarked on a journey moving from place to place throughout my life. With over 30 different places I called home left in my wake, I've fostered an unmatched appreciation for the diverse cultures and landscapes I've encountered. However, among the plethora of destinations I've experienced, three hold a special place in my heart: Hawaii, Germany, and Washington.
Driven by a passion for artistic expression, I pursued an education in computer animation, a field that captivated my imagination from an early age. Today, I have transcended the conventional boundaries of a traditional career path, thriving as a senior web developer. The privilege to work remotely not only allows me to embrace my wanderlust but also fuels my professional growth as I collaborate with talented individuals.
Yet, despite my love for technology and the digital world, I find solace and joy in nature's embrace. My heart resonates most deeply when I am amidst landscapes, whether I'm conquering mountain trails or basking in the serenity of a sun-kissed beach. Nature provides the perfect sanctuary for me to rejuvenate my spirit and reconnect with the essence of life.
However, it hasn't been a smooth journey. Throughout my life, I have encountered numerous health challenges that have tested my resilience and taught me invaluable life lessons. These battles have anchored me to the reality that life is indeed fleeting, and in the face of adversity, we must cherish our passions and pursue them fearlessly. Though my health struggles have often led me to the confines of hospital rooms, they have not stolen my spirit nor dampened my determination. Instead, they have empowered me to live life to its fullest, embracing every opportunity, and refusing to be limited by circumstances. They have taught me the significance of presence, urging me to savor every moment, to chase dreams unrelentingly, and to surround myself with the people who uplift and inspire me.
